IN-PERSON WORSHIP & GATHERINGS RESUME
The Board of Elders has made the decision to allow in-person gatherings using our previous precautions to resume beginning February 28.
These precautions include:
- Masks will be worn (we will have extras at the church for those who either do not have one or forgot it at home)
- We request those who come to use hand sanitizer when they get here and as they leave (we will continue to provide little bottles in the pews)
- We will discourage any physical contact between people (i.e. no hand shaking, hugging, etc.)
- We will rope off pews and create markings from 6 feet distances using bulletins to encourage the appropriate physical distancing guidelines from the CDC
- We will have our ushers escort you in for worship and release you from the pews (starting in the back and working forward) to help facilitate continued physical distancing as we exit the sanctuary. If you would like to fellowship more closely, we ask that you do so once you are outside the building.
- We will have the offering plates on the back tables for people to place their offerings in on their way to the pews (only the ushers to touch)
- We will limit the number attending any gathering in our sanctuary or fellowship hall to 35 people (as recommended to us by our church insurance company)
- During the in-person service there will be congregational responses to liturgies, but at this time we will not be having congregational singing. We are looking into ways to safely have special music provided for the congregation during this service.
- Boards, committees and other meetings may take place in the building as well, but using the same precautions (masks, physical distancing, sanitizing/washing hands, etc). They will also be held in a hybrid way so that those who do not wish to come in person can still participate.
We again ask for your grace and understanding as this remains a very fluid situation with numbers and recommendations changing daily. Any new information and plans will be communicated to the congregation through our usual channels (the weekly mailing, the newsletter, our website and Facebook page). If you have any concerns or questions about this decision, please contact a member of the Board of Elders or Pastor Beth.

2021 WATCHWORDS
With the suspension of in-person gathering the choosing of watchwords will take place a bit differently this year. Pastor Beth will choose the watchwords for the congregation and the Joint Board during our first worship of the new year (January 3). We will have the watchwords spread out on a table for those who would like to come in during office hours and pick one up. If you would like to have one mailed to you, please let us know at the church office and we will grab one and mail it out to you.
